Auction Aimed At Helping Teen Jobs Programs

How about a round of golf and lunch with two Husker immortals, or dinner and a ball game with two Creighton icons?

All while helping area teens get jobs.

Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch and Matt Davison are being auctioned off for a round of golf by the Omaha Schools Foundation.

A second auction features former Bluejays Antoine Young and Ryan Sears who are up for auction for dinner and a Stormchasers game.

Proceeds go to the foundation to help teen jobs programs including UNO's SummerWorks run by another former Husker Josh Bullocks.

"We employ those kids for nine weeks throughout the summer," Bullocks said. 'We prep them for the job force. We get them ready for their first time jobs. We start off with resumes, we also get them access to jobs. We do a lot of job training."

Anyone interested in placing bids may do so between now and August 26th by going to www.proxibid.com.

There will be multiple winners in each auction.

Winners will be notified by proxibid.com.

The foundation hopes to raise $50,000.
