The lawyer representing three Maxwell, Nebraska school officials who supposedly failed to report accusations of the sexual abuse of a student says the alleged victim and his mother told them no such assault ever happened.
Bob Lindemeier is representing Maxwell Public Schools Superintendent Danny Twarling, high school principal Aubrey Boucher and wrestling coach Ryan Jones. All three have been cited on suspicion of failure to report child abuse or neglect, a misdemeanor.
Nebraska State Patrol investigators say the three had been told that a member of the high school wrestling team had been held down by other team members and sodomized with a soda bottle.
Lindemeier says school officials investigated the allegations and were told by the boy and his mom that it never took place.
