The man behind a brutal attack on a young woman and her stepmother will spend decades in prison.
Wednesday, a judge sentenced Brandon Hendon to a combined 60-90 years.
He will serve 40-50 years for his attack on his ex-girlfriend Jaimee Kirsch, 10-20 for using a weapon to do it. Hendon also faces 10-20 years for attacking Kirsch's stepmother Jessica Walker.
Police say Hendon scaled the wall of a La Vista apartment in March of 2012, using an open balcony door to enter Kirsch's apartment. He stabbed both women multiple times. They both survived.
Investigators arrested Hendon in Plattsmouth an hour later.
Hendon will get credit for time already served.
