Young aspiring actors and actresses got a chance to learn some new skills Wednesday in Omaha.

The workshop was held at the Holland Performing Arts Center. Inside the class it looked like high school and college students were just walking around, but there was a purpose behind the exercise.
They were doing it to learn how to be better performers.

Omaha Performing Arts hosted the free work shop. It was led by Broadway Dreams Director and New York City acting coach Craig D'Amico.

"I think it's really important to engage students in the arts and this is just one of the many ways that Omaha Performing Arts tries to do that," said Kathleen Lawler.

It also gave students a chance to see what the longer workshop will be like this summer. It's called the Broadway Dreams Summer Intensive.
