Omaha Police have arrested a suspect in the July 4th robbery of a metro Walgreens store. He’s identified as 18-year-old Frazer Chaplain.
The robbery happened shortly after 8 o’clock in the morning at the Walgreens near 90th and Fort. Officers were told the robber had a gun and demanded money.
He left through the back door, heading in the direction of the neighboring Nebraska Humane Society parking lot. Police say he lost some of the money there as he ran from the scene. Officers recovered the cash.
Authorities from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and Nebraska State Patrol joined the hunt for the robber.
They determined that he got into a sedan on the east side of the Humane Society parking lot and left the area.
