Two suspects were arrested Saturday in connection with a robbery and attempted robbery of shoppers in Omaha over the past two days.
A man leaving a store near South 36th and L streets just after 11:30 p.m. Friday was approached by a teen in the parking lot who pulled a gun and demanded money. The suspect went through the victim's wallet, but fled without taking anything.
Around 5 p.m. Saturday, a woman was loading up her car after shopping at 51st and L when she was approached by a teen who pulled a gun and demanded money. The boy took her purse and ran.
The investigation led police to South 20th Avenue and Arbor Street where they located the 15-year-old boy and 19-year-old Armando Rodriquez, believed to be the boy's getaway driver. The 15-year-old, whose name is not being released because of his age, was booked on one count of robbery and one count of attempted robbery while Rodriquez was booked for two counts of being an accessory to a felony.
