Armed Men Kick In Door, Rob Resident

Three men are being sought for forcing their way into an Omaha home and robbing a man at gunpoint Saturday morning.

Police say the suspects kicked in the front door of the house near South 19th and Spring streets just after 2 a.m. and took money and some other items before leaving in a silver SUV, possibly a CRV or RAV4.

When David Faure heard the commotion, he grabbed a machete and confronted the men, only to find they had his girlfriend on the floor at gunpoint.

“I see them all with guns. I had a machete that was sitting on my porch and I couldn't do anything, so I dropped the machete and I went in there and I just pretty much gave them the money so that my girlfriend didn't get hurt or nothing and then when they left I ran out the back door again and I tried to drive this car out and chase them, but they had already taken off."

Anyone with information about the robbery/suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
