The initial report that employers were asking new candidates for their Facebook password spread like everything else in this social media dominated society, fast. But is it really happening?
Facebook fought back last week over reports that employers are asking employees and potential employees to turn over their passwords.
Public opinion is clearly with facebook on the issue with many people taking to social media to condemn the password prowling.
Now a study by employee screening company Employeescreeng IQ has found the issue may be overblown.
The study polled 650 H-R professionals nationwide and found 52% never consult social media websites as part of their screening process.
