Archdiocese of Omaha is planning a new event Saturday which is open to everyone across the archdiocese in conjunction with the Heartland Catholic Men's conference scheduled for Friday August 1, 2014.
Many of the same speakers and performers for the men's conference will also be on hand for the family event on Saturday.
The fifth-annual Heartland Catholic Men’s Conference is set for August 1 at Christ the King Church in Omaha.
The August 2 Heartland Family Festival at D.J. Sokol Arena and Morrison Stadium on the Creighton University campus in Omaha will include a kids’ zone featuring bounce houses, a family photographer, balloon and caricature artists, face painters, displays from
the Henry Doorly Zoo, fireworks show, games and crafts.
Entertainment includes country music star Collin Raye, folk-rock
musician Mike Mangione and comedian Jonnie W.
