Anthony Wells is out of one legal tangle and into another. Wells is a relative of accused killer Nikko Jenkins.
Last September, Wells was arrested for being a felon in possession of a gun. Prosecutors said it was a weapon he gave to Jenkins.
Because of that arrest, he was charged in Madison County, Nebraska for violating terms of an unrelated probation. The violation involved the alleged gun possession.
In March, Wells was acquitted of the gun possession charge in Douglas County. Just this week he was cleared of the probation violation.
He was then released to the custody of the US Marshals. The reason for that was not immediately clear.
