Another round of showers and isolated storms developing. The main corridor is setting up across a similar zone as Tuesday evening.
The heaviest of the storms are expected to form along and especially south of I-80. Showers are tracking eastward and eventually the entire zone will shift southward overnight.
A strong storm can't be ruled out across southern Nebraska where the air is more unstable. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be possible along with occasional lightning.
The showers and storms are firing near a stalled front. The air is cooler today but not drier. The refreshing air behind a secondary cold front moves through overnight. You'll notice a big change in the air by Thursday.
