Yet another record low was set for Omaha as the temperatures dipped to 53 degrees shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The previous record low for July 16th was 54 degrees in 1976.
Cool, fall-like temperatures in the 40s and 50s were common across the Heartland and it looks like Thursday morning may be a repeat as the forecast is calling for a low around 55. The current record of 53 was set in 2009.
