Students returned to their rooms in a Mount Mercy University apartment building in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that was treated for bedbugs.
The building was treated on Tuesday.
University spokeswoman Jennifer Jentz says bedbugs haven't been a past problem at the Lower Campus Apartments.
Jentz says a student reported bedbugs to the residence life office on Monday. She says an exterminator confirmed bedbugs in that one apartment, but all four apartments in the building were treated as a precaution.
The residents were moved to other housing during the treatment. She says there will be a follow-up inspection of the building in two weeks.
