Annexation sails through Plattsmouth City Council on first reading. Two more readings remain before the property where Woodhouse Ford South wants to relocate to can become part of the city limits.
The Cassgram reports Woodhouse is purchasing 6.62 acres at the corner of Osage Ranch Road and Highway 75. That is targeted for annexation. A nearby .15 acre lot in Osage Ranch is also being annexed “to assure a legal annexation” in meeting the contiguous annexation rules, said City Administrator Erv Portis.
The city has already approved a development agreement. A request for $680,000 in tax increment financing for a portion of the development is part of the plan.
The total estimated value of the project after full build-out is $3.5 million.
The adjacent 7-acre lot owned by the Plattsmouth School District to the north of the 6.62 acre lot is not part of the current annexation or development plan, said Portis.
