A U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band vocalist and American Idol contestant will be entertaining the "troops" at The Salvation Army Kroc Center's Camp Kroc this week. Camp Kroc is a summer day camp for children ages 6-12.

Senior Airman Paula Hunt, a Bellevue native, tried out for American Idol when the show came to the CentruyLink Center in Omaha back on Oct. 14, 2013, getting past the first round into the Hollywood week.

Hunt will be appearing on Friday, July 25 at The Salvation Army Kroc Center from 12:30-1:15 to talk about her experience on American Idol, being in the Air Force, and performing with members of the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band.

Hunt, who is a graduate of Bellevue West High School, has served as a member of the Air Force Heartland of America Band since August 2011.
