An Omaha man may be labeled a habitual criminal after an arrest at a Home Depot.
The incident happened on Friday, July 20th at 72nd and Ames Avenue. Police said a man carrying chainsaws and replacement chains walked right out of the building without attempting to pay for the items.
Several employees witnessed the alleged theft and confronted the man. When officers arrived a couple of employees were struggling with the suspect near the front of the store.
Officers arrested 52-year-old Kevin Goodwin for felony shoplifting after a check of his background revealed two previous shoplifting convictions.
The value of the two chainsaws and four replacement chains was just under $600.
