Reports of smoke in a plane's cockpit sent fire and rescue crews racing toward Eppley Airfield Wednesday morning.
Responders were called to the airport around 7:15 a.m. The plane in question landed without issue, according to airport police.
The Omaha Airport Authority said the United passengers on board were headed to Houston. They deplaned so mechanics could do an examination. It was unclear whether or not they would be switching planes to resume their trip.
