Alcohol Related Crash
Accident involves alcohol on Highway 75.
Cass County sheriff’s deputies, Plattsmouth police officers, Plattsmouth fire department volunteers and Plattsmouth EMS responders were at the scene of the two-vehicle accident. It occurred just after 10:30pm Friday at the intersection of Highway 75 and Avenue B.
Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that vehicle #1 was a 2007 Dodge Ram truck driven by John R. Rouse, age 22, Murray. Vehicle #2 was a 2002 Dodge Intrepid driven by Marie M. Casaday, age 24, of Plattsmouth.
Rouse was northbound on Highway 75 and signaled to turn onto Oak Hill Road but at the last minute decided to turn onto Avenue B, turning into the northbound Casaday vehicle which had been behind the Rouse vehicle, said Brueggemann. Both vehicles came to rest on Avenue B.
