If you love a parade then you might love what you see during the Rose Bowl Parade Tuesday morning. Omaha-based RFD-TV has created a unique float to be part of the annual event.
The parade will air at 10am Tuesday on Channel 6 & NBC.
The float received some early national attention Monday morning when Al Roker broadcast a segment during the Today Show on NBC. He described the float as being 17 feet tall. It’s a giant John Deere tractor. Tea leaves, parsley, and flowers were used to decorate the float.
It will be followed by 30 vintage tractors. RFD-TV tells Channel 6 News that the float will pay tribute to farmers and ranchers who grow our food and organizations that help feed the hungry.
RFD-TV received special permission from parade organizers to include the vintage tractors. This will be in recognition of everyone who is responsible for setting the new Guinness record of 964 tractors recently achieved by the broadcaster.
An hour long documentary, “Making of the Float”, will air at 9am Tuesday.
