Tuesday morning, someone called 9-1-1, saying he was pinned against a fence by two aggressive dogs. When officers arrived, two German Shepherds charged them.
It happened near 25th & Burdette St. just before 10 a.m.
Police say an officer shot one of the dogs in the head, causing the other one to run back into its yard.
The Nebraska Humane Society tells Channel Six the wounded dog, a female German Shepherd, had to be put down.
The dog's owner, 28-year-old Eric Orduna, was cited for Improper Restraint and Dog Menacing Behavior.
