Jail ordered for the Lincoln man who got into a scuffle at Eagle Raceway with a then-13-year-old girl 20 months ago. The Cassgram reports 36-year-old Roger Brindley had been on probation for the incident but was found to be in violation of the terms of probation. Cass County District Court Judge Randall Rehmeier sentenced him to six months in the county jail.
Brindley and his now estranged wife had accepted plea deals last year. Each pled guilty to a misdemeanor and felony charges were dismissed.
Deputy Cass County Attorney Steve Sunde said the Brindleys were seated a few rows in front of the girl in June of 2011 when an argument over race car drivers began. Theresa Brindley threw a beer in the face of the girl; Roger Brindley struck the girl, leaving a welt on her forehead, said Sunde. Attorneys for the Brindleys said their clients were upset about the foul language they heard.
