The Cassgram reports Cass County sheriff’s deputies responded to the one-vehicle accident in the area of 27th Avenue and Rock Bluff Road at 8:50pm Thursday. They found a red 1988 Oldsmobile registered to a party from Mynard. There was evidence the occupants had suffered injuries. Two identifications were found in the vehicle, indicating the possible occupants to be two males, a 21-year-old and a 19-year-old, from the Mynard and Plattsmouth area.
At 9:03pm, Plattsmouth EMS was called to a residence on North 7th Street. A 21-year-old male was transported by LifeNet helicopter to Creighton University Medical Center with arm and head injuries. The 21-year-old is believed to have been one of the occupants of the vehicle at the time of the accident, said Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann.
Plattsmouth police officers and Cass County sheriff deputies made contact with the 19-year-old male in Plattsmouth. Information is still being obtained to determine who was driving at the time of the accident. The names of those involved were not released yet at print time today.
Excessive speed and alcohol use are believed to factors in the crash, said Brueggemann.
