A 43-year old man was booked for so many crimes in one night this weekend, it might make a career criminal blush. Gerald Proctor was arrested about 1:30 Saturday morning following a hair-raising string of events.
Lincoln police say an officer recognized the description of a pickup truck which had been stolen from Otoe County. The driver of the 2011 Ford F150 refused to pull over at 33rd and O Street. The chase went down several residential streets at slow and fast speeds. Police say Proctor lost control of the truck at 33rd and Potter and fled on foot. He was quickly apprehended.
Proctor was booked for possessing stolen property, fleeing to avoid arrest, DUI (.173 BAC), driving under suspension, failing to comply, resisting arrest, willful reckless driving, no seat belt, possessing drug paraphernalia, and having an open container.
