AT&T is showing off some of the $16 million in improvements it has made to the Omaha metro wireless network.
It claims the upgrades make wireless communications 10 times faster than they were before the improvements. The company feels it puts it in position for the future of communications. The new network has been running since Tuesday evening and actually provides another faster layer of 4G speed to the area.
Hardman Williams III says, "If they look down at their phone there is a notation at the top that said 4G if they were using a 4G phone. Today it says 4G LTE. We spent $16 million in the first half of this year and much of that was attributed toward these LTE enhancements."
