The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in conjunction with the Spencer Iowa Police Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, announced Thursday a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft of firearms from Southern Archery, a federally licensed firearms dealer.
ATF is offering a reward in the amount of $5,000 which is being matched by the NSSF for a total reward of $10,000.
On July 22, 2014 unknown suspects broke into Southern Archery and stole a large number of firearms from the business.
This theft is being investigated jointly by the Spencer Police Department and ATF.
Anyone having any information about the theft or the whereabouts of the stolen firearms is urged to call the ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS or the Spencer Police Department at (712) 262-2151.
