Cool, fall-like weather has settled across the Heartland resulting in record-setting lows this morning.

Shortly after 4 AM this morning, temperatures dropped to 50° at the Omaha Eppley airport breaking the old record of 51° set in 1967.

Temperatures all across the area ranged from the upper 40s to the low 50s including Beatrice with a morning low of 49° and Council Bluffs bottoming out at 52°.

Expect more cooler than normal weather for the next few days with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
