The Weather Authority continues to track a narrow band of showers and a few embedded thunderstorms this morning. Once this band passes through later this morning, the afternoon features generally dry conditions.
This first full weekend of Summer will feel every bit of it. This afternoon will be partly to mostly sunny, hazy, hot and humid. The highs will soar to near 94, but the "feels like" temperatures will be around the century mark...a good day to head to the swimming pool.
For those of you planning to do outside activities, don't over exert yourself, take frequent breaks and drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.
Sunday will likely see a better chance of scattered showers and storms, but the heat wave continues as highs sizzle again in the low to mid 90's!
