A Day Of Shoveling

Right on cue, snow came down Tuesday leaving a fresh blanket of white across the Heartland.

The Weather Authority forecasted 3 to 5 inches of snow with heavier amounts to the south, and as expected, most of us will be busy shoveling out from this latest winter blast.

Snowfall totals continue to come in, but early reports indicate Red Oak with 6", Ashland with 5" and Bellevue with 4 1/2". Auburn, Nebraska located in Nemaha county picked up 5". Meanwhile Midtown Omaha and Council Bluffs were covered with 4" of white, fluffy snow.

The snow is winding down with just a few lingering flurries this morning, but with stiff northerly winds, watch out for considerable blowing and drifting snow through the afternoon.
