Suspected Burglars In Court

Bonds were reduced for two individuals accused in a string of burglaries.

The cases against 24-year-old Joshua Hauschild of Weeping Water have gone forward to Cass County District Court after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing in county court. There are now five felony counts against Hauschild. The county attorney’s office had originally filed two burglary counts against him.

Hauschild’s bonds were reduced from $10,000 (10% applicable) on each count to $5,000.

Hasuchild remained in Cass County Jail this morning.

An alleged accomplice of Hauschild’s in the burglaries last fall also had his bonds similarly reduced in county court. 20-year-old Anthony Houchin of Weeping Water posted 10% of $30,000 bond and was released from county jail on Tuesday.

A preliminary hearing on the felony counts against Houchin is scheduled for August 12th.

A third alleged accomplice, 23-year-old Brandon Fisher of St. Joseph, Missouri, has already been arraigned in district court and is free on bond according to the Cassgram.
