A Lexington man has been sentenced to five to 15 years in prison for choking a woman and pleaded guilty to three other charges related to the October incident.
Fifty-two-year-old William Fellers III was sentenced on Wednesday. He had pleaded no contest to the charges earlier.
The case began with an Oct. 10 altercation at a rural Lexington home. Prosecutors say Fellers used a T-shirt to choke a woman and force her into having sex with him.
Fellers pleaded no contest to a strangulation charge and guilty to making terroristic threats, second-degree assault and violating a protection order.
