She knew her son was creating explosive devices and didn't do anything to stop him. Now a West Omaha mother is facing two felony charges.
Dawn Martens was booked on child endangerment and explosive device charges. Her 14-year-old son was booked as a juvenile.
Martens posted bond Monday and is scheduled to make her initial appearance in court Tuesday morning.
Police made the arrests at a home in the area of 144th and Harrison.
An OPD spokesperson confirmed that the juvenile boy was making dry ice bombs. Martens, 37, apparently knew that her son was building the explosives.
