New Red Cross Call Center Means 125 Additional Jobs
Call center in Sarpy County one of three nationwide The American Red Cross is consolidating its blood donor call center operation to three locations across the country with one to be located in Sarpy County.

The American Red Cross is consolidating its blood donor call center operation to three locations across the country with one to be located in Sarpy County.
The current call center is located in midtown Omaha. Workers contact donors to schedule appointments and provide reminder calls to people scheduled to donate. The new call center will be located in the Chalco Valley Tech Center and should open in July.
The new center will add 125 jobs to the area. "It’s great news for the community, it's a great location with easy interstate access, so it’s a great opportunity for the Red Cross and a great opportunity for Omaha,” said April Opplinger with the Red Cross.
The other two Red Cross call centers will be located in Tucson, Arizona and Charlotte, North Carolina.
