A 22-year-old Omaha man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for robbing a Lincoln bank in 2008.
Curtis Cotton apologized in court to employees of the TierOne Bank branch before being sentenced Wednesday.
Authorities say Cotton and two other men robbed the TierOne Bank branch of $26,500 in October 2008. Cotton testified against one of
the other men, 27-year-old Traves Rush, who was found guilty
earlier this month. Rush will be sentenced in August.
The third man, Marcus Short, has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
