The Montgomery County, Iowa sheriff’s department knocked on a Red Oak home Wednesday afternoon armed with two search warrants. The warrants led to the discovery of 63 marijuana plants – but that was just the beginning.

After searching the home at 1401 ½ Eastern Avenue, three men were arrested. 39-year old Jason Ray Cornelison is charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of methamphetamine. 34-year old Joseph Duane Uhlmann and 26-year old Matthew Lee Gusman are both charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Investigators also executed a warrant at a house at 701 E Nuckols St. Wednesday evening. There, they found 1,244 marijuana plants and a partial methamphetamine lab.

Arrested at the second home was 38-year old Richard Bryan Jenkins. He is charged with manufacture of marijuana and methamphetamine.

Sheriff investigators say the 1,300+ plants could yield an estimated $1.5 million dollars worth of drugs on the streets. Further arrests may be pending.
