Property Valuations Gains

Cass county shows a 1.6% gain in real property valuation in the preliminary figures submitted to the State of Nebraska.

The Cassgram reports that the Nebraska Department of Property Assessment and Taxation released information comparing the change in valuation in percentages from 2009 to 2010.

When growth (new construction) is not factored in, the percentage change is .9%.

In the preliminary figures for Cass County:

1. Residential and recreational valuation is up 1.7% (0.7% when excluding new construction).

2. Commercial and industrial property is up .5% (a drop of .5% when new construction is excluded).

3. Agriculture land income value is up 0.27% countywide.

Statewide, proposed real property valuations show an increase of 4.3% from 2009 to 2010. That figures to an increase in valuation of about $5.8 billion.

Reports from neighboring counties: Otoe 3.9%, Lancaster 1.2%, Saunders 1.5% and Sarpy 1.3%.
