La Vista Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired into a unit of the Harrison Hills Apartments on 115th Street just south of Harrison.

Thirty-year-old Kenneth Prchal said he was sitting on a couch with his 2-year-old daughter watching television when someone knocked on his patio door. He opened the sliding glass door and a woman was standing there.

Prchal told officers a man wearing a hoodie suddenly appeared behind the woman and fired a shot into the apartment with a handgun and then fled. No one was injured.

Police identified several witnesses who were in the area and whose statements conflict with Prchal's. Four possible suspects were seen speeding off in two vehicles. One was a red SUV, the other a white sedan, possibly a Nissan.

"We don't have much to go on,” said La Vista Police Capt. D.J. Barcal. “He didn't recognize either party and so we're checking right now with residents if they saw anything.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact La Vista detectives at 331-1582.
