A pretrial conference is scheduled in the eluding police case of a man convicted of killing Aplington-Parkersburg High School football coach Ed Thomas.
Online court records show the hearing for Mark Becker is Monday in Butler County District Court with a trial on May 4.
Becker is charged with threatening a Cedar Falls man and damaging his garage, then leading police on a chase last June.
After his arrest, Becker was admitted to a Waterloo hospital for evaluation, then released on June 23. Becker shot Thomas the next day.
Becker was sentenced last week to life in prison for first-degree murder.
