Body Found Near Iowa State University's Campus

Officials at Iowa State University say campus police have found a body inside an isolated room of an old farm building near campus.

Officials say an ISU police officer was examining remote areas of the property when he discovered the body of a male about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The building is on Iowa State's Old Dairy Farm site, and is no longer used for agriculture purposes.

The case remains under investigation. The cause and manner of death is pending the results of medical tests. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.

There is no word if the body could be that of John Lacina, an Iowa State student missing since January.
