Bridge Work To Disrupt I-80 Flow West Of Omaha

Interstate 80 lanes between Lincoln and Omaha will be temporarily closed for overpass work.

The Nebraska Department of Roads says eastbound lanes will be closed at Exit 409, the Waverly interchange, at 11 p.m. Thursday. Vehicles will be routed east on U.S. Highway 6, then south on state
Highway 63 back to I-80 at the Greenwood interchange, Exit 420.

On Friday night at 11, westbound lanes will be closed at the Gretna interchange, Exit 432. It will be routed onto westbound U.S. Highway 6 through Ashland and Greenwood and back to I-80 at the Waverly interchange, Exit 409.

The Roads Department says the closures will let construction crews set girders for the 134th Street bridge over I-80.

In case of bad weather, the schedule will be revised.
