No Party Loyalty For Tea Party

Last week's tea party gathering at Lake Zorinsky proved that there is no shortage of support for the movement. Now the Nebraska wing of the tea party wants the two major political parties to know they are disappointed with both of them.
Defining the tea party faction here often comes down to who
you ask. And questions remain about what's next, such as whether
activists will back candidates or work alongside Republicans.
The state GOP chairman asserts the movement is a Republican
endeavor, but more than one tea party group claims Republicans are
a big part of the government's spending problem.
The tea party movement in Nebraska has no state organization,
but much of it is tied to existing local conservative
organizations. Whether it remains an independent
"vote-the-bums-out" campaign could be shaped by the primary
election in May.
