A Beatrice woman is baring her teeth over authorities' treatment of a friend's dog.
Amy Fox chained herself inside a Beatrice Animal Shelter cage on Monday because she was upset that authorities had declared the 11-month-old pit bull to be a vicious dog.
Fox said she has requested a police report to show why the dog is being held and has received nothing.
Police Chief Bruce Lang says that's because she has no claim to the dog, named Tyson.
Lang says neighbors recently reported the dog running loose, and the office called to pick it up deemed the dog to be vicious. Lang says the dog's owner and the Gage County attorney are working to come to a resolution on the dog.
Fox was not arrested on the condition that she immediately leave the shelter and not return.
