Two men were arrested after police say they caught them removing a car stereo.

Lincoln police say they got a tip from a caller to two men acting suspicious near 42nd and Normal. The caller told police the men were climbing in the bed of a muddy truck and hiding in the shadows.

When police arrived, they found 21-year-old Christopher Abbott near a green Ford Taurus. Officers say Abbott was taking a car stereo out of the vehicle. 20-year-old Jeffery Munns was allegedly standing by as a lookout.

Abbott was immediately taken into custody, but police say when an officer approached Munns, he kicked toward the officer and ran away. The foot chase ended when Munns jumped down a 6' embankment into Antelope Creek.

Abbott and Munns were arrested for two counts each of larceny from an auto. Munns was also cited for resisting arrest and failure to comply.
