Omaha Police arrest a Heartland man for an alleged protection order violation, and add weapon and drug charges.
The arrest occurred in Upland Park near 30th and Washington Streets, near where the victim lives.
According to the police reports a 46-year-old woman called officers to her home on Saturday, March 13th. She told officers her ex-boyfriend was in the park and in violation of a protection order.
When officers arrived they found the 32-year-old man in the park near a group of trees.
When they arrested David Burgess they say a search turned up brass knuckles, a concealed knife and an unknown quantity of meth.
The officers wrote in their report Burgess was watching the victim's house from the park, and sending threatening and obscene messages to her.
