Street Resurfacing Planned To Fix Potholes
Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle announced Friday that the city plans to use $3 million in stimulus funds to resurface streets damaged by potholes.

Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle announced Friday that the city plans to use $3 million in stimulus funds to resurface streets damaged by potholes.

The Public Works Department has selected 19 major streets to resurface. The work is expected to begin in mid-May.

Until then, crews will continue working 24 hours a day, six days a week repairing potholes.

Mayor Suttle said, "Please use extra caution when driving in the vicinity of workers as they work diligently to repair the blizzard of potholes that are a result of this record winter."

The 2010 resurfacing projects include the following streets:

  • 17th Street from Capitol to Farnam
  • Chicago Street from 17th to 15th
  • 60th Street from Blondo to Maple
  • WB W. Center Road from 102nd to 108th
  • Military Road from 90th to 99th
  • WB W. Center from 120th to 126th
  • 16th Street from Cornish to Storz Expressway
  • Old Dodge Street from 84th to 80th
  • WB McKinley Street from 48th to I-680
  • 42nd Street from Woolworth to Marcy
  • 120th Street from Q to L
  • Regency Parkway from Pacific to Dodge
  • F Street from 42nd to 50th
  • WB Military Avenue from Keystone to 70th
  • Leavenworth Street from 36th to 31st
  • Skyline Drive from Dodge to Harney
  • Elkhorn Drive from Main to 206th
  • WB W. Center from 132nd to 144th
  • Dodge Street from 9th to 12th
