Seventh Grade Boy Frostbitten On Walk To School
A spokesperson for Omaha Public Schools confirms that a 14-year-old boy received serious injuries from frostbite after he missed his bus and tried to walk to school in the frigid morning temperatures.
The seventh-grade boy was to board the bus near 103rd and Maple streets. Instead, he tried to walk 5-miles to Monroe Middle School.
The school staff noticed the boys injuries and called 911. The boy was taken to the hospital.
