It was broken glass in the Stonybrook neighborhood that grabbed the attention of a homeowner who lives next to a home that was being burglarized. Their quick action helped lead to an arrest.
The victim's house was near 145th and Dewey and the person who called 911 was able to provide Omaha police with a description of the suspect and their vehicle.
When police responded they were coming from the north -- and noticed a vehicle matching the description near 145th and Monroe.
Inside that vehicle was Rannard McGhee. He was arrested and booked for possession of burglary tools.
