A Des Moines man accused of letting his 20-month-old daughter drown in a bathtub while he was on his computer has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Thirty-year-old Dustin Nyonee pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges of child endangerment and neglect. He was sentenced to two 10-year sentences, to be served consecutively.
Nyonee was accused last August in the death of his daughter, Celine, and for leaving two other children, ages 3 and 6, unattended while he was at the hospital.
Police say Nyonee was on his computer while his children were in the tub without supervision.
The 20-month-old hit her head, went under water and drowned.
Nyonee took her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
