Arrest Made In 2010 Murder

Police said Wednesday an arrest has been made in a four-year-old Omaha murder case.

Twenty-eight-year-old Dellshawn Evans was taken into custody in Denver on a warrant for first-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

He's accused of shooting 38-year-old James Dancer of Omaha, found dead in his home near North 61st Avenue and Jaynes Street on the night of February 8, 2010.

A check of Dancer's criminal history revealed several contacts with police dating back to 1988, most related to drug possession. He also spent time in jail for assault and having a concealed weapon.
