A high-speed chase ended with a crash Sunday night in Council Bluffs.
An Iowa State Patrol trooper wrapped his cruiser around a pole near South 36th Street and 9th Avenue, close to the Harrah's casino exit. The trooper was not hurt.
The pickup he was chasing ended up on its side. The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Authorities are still sorting everything out, but it appears the pickup had been stolen. Radio dispatches indicated the chase reached or exceeded 100 mph going through residential areas.
