Authorities say one person was killed and another seriously hurt in a two-car collision on a snowy highway in southeast Nebraska.
Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins says 75-year-old
Eldon Oltman of Filley was heading east on U.S. Highway 136 in Gage
County when he lost control of his van. It crossed the center lane,
spun around, and was hit by a westbound car.
Oltman died at the scene of the crash, which was reported about
7:20 a.m. Friday.
Collins says the driver of the car, 44-year-old Regina Mitchell
of Hebron, was taken to a Lincoln hospital with serious injuries.
